experiment
As noticeable a Luna Moth has what are known as eye spots which is one of the characteristics that make them interesting. Those eye spots scare away predators, protecting them from being eaten. Now, have you ever asked yourself what would occur if Luna Moths didn't have eye spots. Well, this is what this possible experiment will hopefully answer.
Question: What would occur if Luna Moths did not have eye spots?
Experiment: Radiation affects the DNA of a animal which can lead to changing one of their features. If a Luna Moth is affected by radiation for a long period of time, it can be possible that one of its features will change such as their eyespots. A professional scientific lab is not necessarily needed for this experiment. You might be able to do it at home.*
Materials:
Hypothesis: Due to the amount of radiation a Luna Moth will be receiving through sun rays, its eye spots will disappear. Once the Luna Moth is put back in the wild or forest, it will be much easier for it to be eaten by its predators.
Steps:
* Note: This experiment is only based on prior knowledge. Finding experiments for Luna Moths is really hard.

A professional scientific lab is not necessarily needed for this experiment. You might be able to do it at home.*
Materials:
- Luna Moth
- Jar (large enough for a luna moth to fit in)
- Window (sunlight is able to come in)
- Sunlight
Hypothesis: Due to the amount of radiation a Luna Moth will be receiving through sun rays, its eye spots will disappear. Once the Luna Moth is put back in the wild or forest, it will be much easier for it to be eaten by its predators.
Steps:
- Open jar and put Luna Moth inside. Make sure to close the jar with the Luna Moth still inside of the jar.
- Leave jar by the window with the sun rays towards it in order for radiation to hit it.
- After a period of time such as 2-3 days, observe what has occurred.
- If the eye spots have disappeared, bring it to the forest or even maybe in a park near you.
